Today's UMCVFD ambulance crew took advantage of some drill time to simulate vehicle stabilization.

Using your imagination, the red lockers are a car on its side. The black pole is an anchor point.

The braces prevent the vehicle from falling back onto its wheels. The straps prevent the vehicle from falling forward onto its roof.

This method provides clearance for victim extrication from the vehicle passenger compartment.

RIP Chief EmmonsRockville Cemetery shares a kindred bond with Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, as both organizations continually rely on the dedication and commitment of citizen-stewards to sustain our operations and provide these vital services to our community. On the eve of RVFD celebrating its Centennial, and in remembrance and the spirit of two of its charter officers, (President) Dr. Otis Linthicum and (Vice President) Clifford Robertson, who also served with the original Rockville Cemetery Association of Montgomery County, MD, the current Rockville Cemetery Association extends its sincerest condolences to the family of Deputy Chief Scott Eric Emmons with his sudden passing. For his outstanding examples as both volunteer and civil servant, neighbor, friend, and family member, we are honored that he has found final rest in Section E3 of the cemetery’s historic upper area, and among so many others who have served before him. rvfd.org/chief-scott-emmons/ ... Wasn't Swab the brand name of the first box type ambulance we had at UMCVFD?

Congrats Upper Montgomery, that's a well-needed unit. I know some will disagree with me but I've always said your response area deems a full fledged rescue squad. Two thumbs up for this build!
